Sitia, Crete

Sitia is an amphitheatrically located city. This is the easternmost city on the island of Crete - quiet and colored in island colors. Sitia has about 8000 inhabitants, who are mainly engaged in agriculture. Sitia was built on the site of the ancient Itea, which was a port. The eastern district of Petra is most likely inhabited since the Bronze Age.
