Borromean Islands, Italy
The Borromean Islands are three beautiful islands in Lake Maggiore.
The island of Bella is the most famous of the three islands. It was a rocky wasteland, but in 1670 Count Carlo Borromeo III decided to turn it into a park. The result is a picturesque garden arranged on ten terraces, planted with cypresses, camellias, boxwood, white magnolias and laurel trees. Next to the park is the Borromean Palace, the construction of which lasted until 1959.

Madre with its magnificent park, which includes gardens with camellias, cypresses and all kinds of rare plants and trees. There are also pheasants, parrots and peacocks in the park, which make the park even more exotic.
The Borromean Islands are still owned by the famous Borromean family.
